Water ConsumptionLast weeks total water consumption by Gosford City and Wyong Shire communities was 526 megalitres. This was lower than the current Level 3 consumption target of 546 megalitres. Consumption was 23 megalitres higher than the previous week and 66 megalitres higher than the same time last year. So far this year we have consumed 21,035 megalitres of water in our region. This was 1199 megalitres higher than the amount consumed by this time last year. This week’s target consumption for the Coast is 549 megalitres. Dam Storage LevelsTotal dam storage for the week ending Monday 26, October 2009 was 30.6%. This is down on last week’s storage and a decrease on the same time last year when total storage was at 31.4%. We received 58mm of rainfall at Somersby, 84mm at Mardi and 23mm at Mangrove Creek Dam. So far this year we have received 999mm of rainfall at Somersby, 751mm at Mardi and 586mm at Mangrove Creek Dam. This year Somersby has had 422mm less, Mardi 485mm less and Mangrove Dam 380mm less rain compared to this time last year. Gosford/Wyong supplied 0.0 ML to Hunter Water last week keeping this years supply to 68.2ML Groundwater BoresGroundwater Bores supplied 7.3 megalitres last week increasing this years supply to 299 megalitres. |
