Below is a broad outline of construction timeframes and key dates for work on the Mardi-Mangrove Link Project. More detailed timeframes will be subject to ground conditions, weather, unforeseen site conditions and other factors. The total work required comprises the following elements: Project establishment - January to February 2010 - CEMP preparation and approval
- February to March 2010 - site office establishment
Work around Wyong River - March to December 2010 - upgrade the Wyong River pump station
- March to December 2010 - upgrade the Wyong River off-take structure
- July to November 2010 - upgrade the lower Wyong River weir, fishway and gauging statiion
1.9km pipeline between Wyong River and Mardi Dam - March to June 2010 - pipeline corridor fencing
- March to June 2010 - pipeline corridor clearing
- May to July 2010 - pipe stringing along the corridor
- May to July 2010 - pipeline construction from Wyong River to Mardi Dam
- June to December 2010 - reinstatement / restoration
Work around Mardi Dam - May to October 2010 - upgrade Mardi Dam inlet
- June 2010 to January 2011 - construction of new pump station
19km pipeline between Mardi Dam and Mangrove Creek Dam - March to July 2010 - pipeline corridor fencing
- March to July 2010 - pipeline corridor clearing
- April to August 2010 - pipe stringing along the corridor
- May to December 2010 - pipeline construction starting at Mardi Dam
- June to December 2010 - pipeline construction starting at Bunning Creek Tunnel
- May to September 2010 - pipe-bridging three river crossings and smaller tributaries
- June to September 2010 - under-boring under one river crossing
- June to December 2010 - reinstatement / restoration
Mangrove Creek Dam Inlet - February to March 2010 - new inlet structure at the dam
Project completion and commissioning - January 2011 to April 2011 - project completion and testing
- June 2011 - project commissioning and water flowing
