Water Efficient Councils |

Gosford and Wyong Councils have become more water efficient during the current drought.
Some of the things they have done include:
- Replacement of showerheads with AAA rated models
- Flow restrictors on all taps
- Waterless urinals and dual flush toilets
- Rainwater tanks for toilet flushing, outdoor watering, vehicle and vessel washing
- Water audits to identify/repair leaks at Council-run properties
- Free rainwater tanks for local schools
- Disconnection of taps at fish cleaning tables, showers at beaches and hoses at boat ramps
- Smart water meters to rapidly identify leaks at ovals and schools
- Effluent reuse into public amenity blocks
