| The rebates are available to residents and businesses connected to the town supply who install rainwater tanks. The value of the Council rebate depends on the combined size of your rainwater tanks:
By connecting your tank internally, you are helping save more water. A 5,000 litre tank connected externally saves, on average, 32,000 litres of town water per year. But when its also connected internally to the toilet and washing machine, the saving increases to 72,000 litres per year. Households and other water users whose rainwater tanks are connected internally are subject to level 2a restrictions. NSW State Government rebatesThe NSW State Government now has a rainwater tank rebate program for NSW. Central Coast residents, including those not connected to the town supply, are eligible for these rebates. Applications for both rebates may be sent directly to your local Council. The State government rebate also depends on the combined size of your rainwater tanks:
Additional rebates are available those connected to the town supply. A $500 rebate for connection to the washing machine and $500 for connection to a toilet is available. To be eligible for the State Government rebate, rainwater tanks must be purchased and installed between the 1 July 2007 and 30 June 2009. For more information, including the terms and
