A major $59 million upgrade at Mardi Dam that will secure the Central Coast water supply and enable more water to be transferred between the Gosford and Wyong systems is on track for completion.
The works include the construction of a new intake tower, two pump stations and new pipelines. Extensive earthwork foundations and concreting works are now underway. |

Central Coast residents continue to commit to long term water savings but shower times are getting a little longer with the easing of the drought.
Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils have today released the results of their latest survey as part of National Water Week celebrations Over 500 residents were surveyed at the recent Australian Springtime Flora Festival, with 96 per cent of residents indicating they would keep living water smart. |

The Mardi-Mangrove Link Project is a key element of WaterPlan 2050 which is the long term water supply st rategy for the Central Coast. It will help to secure the region’s town water supply over the next four decades by linking Wyong River and Ourimbah Creek to Mangrove Creek Dam, via Mardi Dam The Project is an initiative of Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils with Australian Government funding of $80.3 million from the Water Smart Australia Program. |
